What data does a job tracker hold?

Think about what you put into a job tracker. Your full name. The companies you applied to. The jobs you want. Your salary expectations. Your interview notes. What a recruiter said about you.

That is a lot of personal information. And it is sensitive. You do not want that information shared with anyone you did not choose.

Most job trackers do not clearly explain what they do with this data. JobFoxly does.

What does JobFoxly do with your data?

JobFoxly uses your data to run the app. That is it. Your data is used to show you your jobs, your notes and your pipeline. Nothing else.

JobFoxly does not sell your data. JobFoxly does not share your data with other companies for marketing. JobFoxly does not use your data to train AI models.

Where is your data stored?

JobFoxly runs on servers from Hetzner. Hetzner is a German company. All servers are in Europe. This means your data is protected by European privacy law.

European privacy law is called GDPR. It is one of the strictest privacy laws in the world. It gives you rights over your own data.

App and analytics

The app and Umami analytics run on a Hetzner VPS in Europe.

Database

All your job data is stored in PostgreSQL on a Hetzner VPS in Europe.

Cache

Redis runs on a Hetzner VPS. Used to make the app fast. Not used to store personal data long term.

Monitoring

Grafana and Prometheus run on a Hetzner VPS. Used only to monitor that the app is working well.

What is Mistral AI and why does it matter?

JobFoxly uses AI to help you write cover letters and check your resume. The AI behind this is called Mistral AI.

Mistral AI is a European AI company. JobFoxly has signed a legal agreement with Mistral AI. This agreement is called an NDA. It means Mistral is not allowed to use your data for anything other than answering your request.

Your resume does not train Mistral. Your cover letter does not train Mistral. Your notes do not train Mistral. The agreement makes sure of that.

Mistral AI has signed a legal agreement with JobFoxly. Your data is never used to train any AI model.

Do other job trackers explain this?

Most do not. Teal, Huntr and Jobscan all have AI features. But none of them clearly state whether your data is used to train their AI models. You have to trust that they are doing the right thing.

JobFoxly does not ask you to trust blindly. We explain exactly what we do. And we have a legal agreement to back it up.

Is JobFoxly GDPR compliant?

Yes. GDPR stands for General Data Protection Regulation. It is European law. Because JobFoxly stores all data in Europe and follows strict data rules, it is GDPR compliant.

This means you have the right to see your data, change your data and delete your data at any time.

Who can see my data?

Only you. And the JobFoxly team when needed to fix a technical problem. No one else.
